Saltburn Pier...

For over 150 years...

Built in 1869, Saltburn Pier was the first iron pier to be built on the North East coast. Since then it has had millions of visitors and served a wide range of purposes including housing a mini theatre, servicing as a defence post during the war, housing a restraunt/cafe and even featuring in a Bollywood Movie.

The Pier has seen much renovation work done over the years to counteract the constant wear and tear caused by the North Sea. We do however hope the Grade II* listed building will continue for another 150 years!
